Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Download the Nearmind app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and enter your mobile phone number. You'll receive an OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS to verify your number. Complete your profile with your name, skills, and professional information.

Why do I need to provide my location?

Location services help us connect you with professionals in your immediate area. This enables you to find nearby collaborators, discover local opportunities, and build meaningful professional relationships in your community. You can control your location privacy settings at any time.

Is my personal information secure?

Yes, we take your privacy and security seriously. All data is encrypted, and we comply with GDPR and CCPA regulations. Your location data is only shared with other users when you explicitly choose to do so. Read our fullPrivacy Policy for more details.

How does the matching system work?

Our AI-powered matching system considers your skills, location, industry, and professional interests to suggest relevant connections. The algorithm learns from your interactions to provide better recommendations over time.

Can I control who sees my location?

Absolutely. You can adjust your location sharing settings in the app. Choose to share your precise location, general area, or keep your location private. You can also set different privacy levels for different types of connections.

How do I find professionals in my area?

Use the "Discover" tab in the app to see professionals near you. You can filter by skills, industry, distance, and availability. The app will show you relevant professionals based on your preferences and location.

Troubleshooting

I'm not receiving the OTP verification code

Check that you entered the correct phone number. If you still don't receive the code, try requesting a new one. Make sure your phone has good signal and can receive SMS messages. Contact support if the issue persists.

The app isn't showing my location correctly

Ensure location services are enabled for Nearmind in your device settings. Try refreshing the app or restarting your device. Make sure you're in an area with good GPS signal. You can also manually update your location in the app settings.

I can't send or receive messages

Check your internet connection and ensure the app has the latest updates. Try logging out and logging back in. If the issue continues, contact our support team with details about your device and the specific error you're seeing.

Account Management

How do I update my profile information?

Go to your profile in the app and tap the edit button. You can update your name, bio, skills, professional title, and profile picture. Changes are saved automatically and will be visible to other users immediately.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account through the app settings or by visiting ourData Deletion page. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be removed within 30 days.

Can I change my phone number?

Yes, you can update your phone number in the app settings. You'll need to verify the new number with an OTP code. Your old number will be released and can be used by someone else after 30 days.
