Your Right to Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data and account from Nearmind. This page explains how to exercise this right and what happens when you request data deletion.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove the following data:
- Account Information: Your mobile phone number, email address, and account credentials
- Profile Data: Name, professional title, skills, bio, and profile picture
- Location Data: All stored location history and location preferences
- Communication Data: All messages, connections, and chat history
- Usage Data: App usage patterns, preferences, and interaction history
- Device Information: Device identifiers and app-specific data
Data That May Be Retained
In certain circumstances, we may be required to retain some data for legal or regulatory purposes:
- Data required for legal compliance or regulatory requirements
- Data necessary for fraud prevention or security purposes
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked to you
- Data required to resolve disputes or enforce our terms of service
How to Request Data Deletion
Method 1: Through the App
- Open the Nearmind app
- Go to Settings → Account Settings
- Select "Delete Account"
- Follow the on-screen instructions
- Confirm your deletion request
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to hi@nearmind.app with the following information:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your mobile phone number associated with the account
- Your full name
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Any additional information to help us locate your account
Method 3: Contact Form
Use our contact form at https://nearmind.app/contactand select "Data Deletion Request" as the subject.
Deletion Process Timeline

Immediate (0-24 hours)
Account access is disabled and profile is hidden from other users
- 2
Within 7 days
Personal data deletion begins from our active systems
- 3
Within 30 days
Complete deletion from all systems, including backups
Important Considerations
⚠️ This Action Cannot Be Undone
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
- You will lose all your connections, messages, and profile data
- You will need to create a new account if you want to use Nearmind again
- Your mobile number cannot be reused for a new account for 30 days
Alternative Options
Before requesting complete deletion, consider these alternatives:
- Account Deactivation: Temporarily disable your account while keeping your data
- Privacy Settings: Adjust your privacy settings to limit data sharing
- Location Controls: Disable location sharing while keeping other features
- Data Export: Download a copy of your data before deletion
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity. This may include:
- Confirming your mobile phone number via SMS
- Verifying your email address
- Asking for additional account information
- Requiring a waiting period for security purposes
